International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO) is a mathematical contention for the annual high school students. This is the oldest international science olympiad.

IMO first held in Romania in 1959. Since then, the IMO has been held every year except in 1980. About 90 countries send teams that consist of (at most) six students each (plus a team leader, a deputy team leader and observer-observer).
